Suri Rincon
Outpatient Clinician
My name is Suri Rincon; I am a licensed social worker in New Mexico and a bilingual therapist, fluent in Spanish and English.
I received my bachelor’s in social work from New Mexico Highlands University, then obtained my master’s degree in social work with a bilingual/ bicultural concentration. I have worked in a variety of settings, such as home visiting for mothers with post-partum disorders, homeless shelters, immigration centers, high-risk youth shelters, and suicide intervention programs. My clinical experience comes from working as a family therapist, MST therapist, and individual therapist. Most of my training has been working with people who have experienced traumatic events that cause overwhelming stress, as well as dysfunctional relationships.
As a Latina, I understand the work that it takes to undergo healing in multiple areas of life—from generational traumas to your own lived experienced trauma. I also have a spiritual background in Christianity that, if desired, can be incorporated into treatment to support the healing process.
The areas I focus on are depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, women’s issues, and family issues. Using Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, we will discover what healing looks like for you.
