Christina Chavez
Outpatient Clinician
I am a graduate of the University of New Mexico and New Mexico State University, where I obtained my master’s in clinical social work. As a licensed clinical social worker, I have experience working in legal, clinical and healthcare environments, supporting clients to overcome addiction and trauma. I am adept at connecting families to helpful and supportive resources and am always looking for strength-based methods and solutions. I have an eclectic approach and utilize different modalities, such as talk therapy, art therapy and journaling for children, youth, individuals, and families. I also use cognitive behavioral therapy to help my clients reframe negative events into positive coping mechanisms. I hold certifications in being a case manager, a clinical trauma professional, and in infant mental health. I believe that we all have the power to live a healthy, rewarding and less stressful life.
